About TORCH

Titchfield Offroad Racing Club Hants is a Radio Controlled model car racing club located betwean Southampton and Portsmouth on the south coast of England. Rather confusingly the club isn't based in Titchfield anymore, but it was in the dim and distant past, and has kept the name to honour it's roots. A map and directions to our track can be found by following the menu item above.

We race off-road style, 1/10 electric powered vehicles on our purpose built astroturf circuit. Cars are split into two classes based on the number of driven wheels. Two-wheel drive buggies are typically the simplest and cheepest, so are a good option for novices; they are also the most populat class, and it takes great skill to be consistantly fast with a 2wd. Four-wheel drive cars are more complex, and faster in the hands of an average club driver.

Our track has seen a lot of improvements in the last 18 months, with new jumps, rumble sections and entirelly new layout. We're constantly looking to improve the track to ensure it's challenging for the experienced and pro drivers, but still rewarding to drive for beginners. As well the track we've been working hard on the surrounding areas, creating an all new parking area for racers, laying new astro to cover the pitting area, and improved the drainage to make sure we can race on all bet the very wettest of days. Next up we're looking to cover the rostrum and keep improving our facility.
